Who we are

Chopstick House is a restaurant located in London, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you place an order online, how we use it, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• Email address and name collected when you sign in with Google. Used to identify your account and send order confirmations.
• Phone number collected if you choose to sign in via SMS. Used to verify your identity and link your orders to your account.
• Order history items ordered, order type, total, and status are stored and linked to your account.
• Delivery address only collected if you choose delivery. Not stored beyond your order record.
• Session cookie a secure, encrypted cookie is set when you sign in to keep you logged in for up to 30 days.

How we use your information

• To process and fulfill your order
• To send you an order confirmation and estimated time by email
• To maintain your order history so you can reference past orders

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

• Google OAuth if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
• Telnyx if you choose to sign in via SMS, your phone number is sent to Telnyx to deliver the verification code. We do not share any other information with Telnyx.
• MongoDB Atlas our database provider, hosted in the cloud. Your data is stored securely and is not accessible to third parties.

Cookies

We use one cookie: a session cookie named csid that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the ordering system to function and does not track you across other websites. No analytics or advertising cookies are used.

Data retention

Your account and order history are kept for as long as your account exists. Sessions expire automatically after 30 days. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.
